THE FOOTE FAMILY IN A NUTSHELL

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Proverbs 3: 5-6 ESV

First of all, thank you so much for stopping by! We hope that you find value in at least one thing while you're here.
A little history...Chris and I were high school sweethearts and got married at the young age of 19, moved to CA where Chris served in the United States Marine Corps,. He did two tours overseas and we are blessed to say that he came back home safely each time. Not long after his service and moving back home to Michigan we were excited to have our first baby boy, Connor and two years later we welcomed our daughter Madison into our world!

(In no order.)
Words to describe Chris: Husband. Dad. Veteran. Grunt. Strongman. Bearded. Humble. Fearless. Passionate.

Words to describe Morgan: Wifey. Mom. Stubborn. Short. Italian.  Cold. Loving. Determined.

Words to describe Connor: Sweet. Softhearted. Engineer. Smart. Creative. Shy. Thinker.

Words to describe Madison: Silly. Little Mama. Sassy. Fast. Giggly. Confident.

Marriage, military service, parenting, loss, and addiction are just a few of the things we have faced together in our 11 years of marriage, and we are proud to say that we have worked through every bit of struggle that has come our way and will continue to do so moving forward. Giving up on each other, or anything for that matter, is not in our blood and we are passionate about teaching others to have a mindset of perserverance as well.

In 2016 we bought a beautiful 17 acres of land and a cute house to live out our dream. A couple kids, a couple dogs, a good size garden and a few small farm animals and we were set. Blessed, to say the least. A couple dogs, quickly turned into three though. Beau is our Border Collie, our most easy going guy that we rescued from a local friend. He is Connor's buddy! After losing Beau's first sidekick, he was very lost without a friend so we then got Bella. She is a Blue Heeler/Aussie, is our biggest protector and very hairy baby. She and Beau will out run just about anyone! And just because two dogs isn't enough and a friend had puppies for sale we recently added Buster to the tribe. He is our all too spoiled baby of the pack, a Cowboy Corgi (Blue Heeler/Corgi). These furbabies do everything with us!

In the beginning of 2022, Connor & Maddi were 8 & 5 years old. Connor is such an easy-going, nature loving boy we knew he was up for anything as long as he could have Lego's and be outside. Maddi just laughs and cries at anything and everything, she's our sour-patch kid! Life was feeling a bit...dare I say "easier" with no one in diapers anymore, or just a bit more settled, yet we were ready for a change. A change to either fix up our house to make it better suited for us and possibly more farm animals or to move into a bigger house. The market was not on our side for buying at that time and we felt if we put much more money into our current house, we would never get it back.

After a few months of decision making and weighing our options, God put something on our hearts that had actually been there before. Camper living and travelling. {Sidenote: Chris and I have always been go getters or "big dreamers". We throw out a lot of ideas, business ideas, dreams, goals, etc. Some may be off the wall and we sit back and laugh; and some we sit and stew on for a while.} Two years prior we threw out the idea and quickly tossed it aside as we could never see that actually happening. Let me tell you, when you speak something into existence, when God hears your prayers, and you have a dream, things start happening whether we realize it or not! God is a miracle worker and a promise keeper ;) Within two months, we walked through campers, listed and sold our house, bought our dream camper, sold or donated a LOT of our belongings and moved full-time into the camper. The only hiccup was telling our family and friends the plan!

As of right now (end of 2022) we have been full-timing  for about 4 months and stayed in 5 different states. To say this is the change we were looking for and needed would be an understatement. It's a challenge, it's exciting, it's a life of constantly figuring out our next move in this game we call life. You see, we have not always been what some might call...stand up Christians. We've ran. We have done things out of pure selfishness. We've chased after things that are of all the rage, the good times and the money. So not to say that we have it all figured out, we most definitely do not and probably never will. But we'd like to think we have learned a lot along the way. We have grown up, a lot. And the biggest change we have made is to be followers of Christ, to be faithfully serving a God that does not give up on His people. So with that, we believe God put us in this camper for a purpose.  We may not always know that purpose, but we know He will provide a way, a path, and put people in our life for a reason if we are open to it. As we are on the road we are continually praying for God to put people in our path that we can help, serve, encourage or simply just give a smile to.

It has become our passion to help families thrive! To teach our children and generations to come the way that family life was meant to be. A team, prayer warriors, together.  A support system through the good, the bad and the ugly. That is just one more way we feel this blog can be an encouragement to all.
If we can inspire one family to live their life for Christ then our mission would be accomplished. If we can serve you and your family through a new book to read, a great new recipe, homeschooling tips and tricks, or even simply by putting a smile on your face, then we are thrilled! If we can help you live out your dreams, have big faith to take the hard steps then we are just as thrilled!
If you need prayer, please don't hesitate to send us an email or message in the chat box in the lower right corner.
If you know of a person, family or organization in need of help in your area, please reach out as well.

Enjoy and feel free to pass along anything here you find fun, helpful and inspiring!

We appreciate you! May you and your family be blessed!
